RealTime moves to new office premises
At the end of June 2011, RealTime DC Ltd relocated to new offices in the village of Felpham, just outside Bognor Regis, West Sussex. This move is part of RealTime’s expansion, providing more space and facilities.
The village of Felpham is a historically interesting place. Mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, there was already a Church on the site at this time. Now, opposite RealTime’s offices is the Anglican Church, St. Marys, parts of which date back to circa 1100. William Blake, the famous poet and painter lived in Felpham for a while, just around the corner from Church House. It was whilst living in Felpham that Blake wrote his epic poem, Milton. It was from this poem that the lyrics to the song Jerusalem were written and it is believed that the ‘Green and pleasant land’ that Blake speaks of were inspired by Felpham.
Church House, where RealTime’s new offices are located dates back to the early or mid-18th century and was at one time one of the larger of only 25 houses within the village. It is a typical manor house of the period which was then used as a farmhouse in the 1880s and 1890s. In 1966 the building was saved from demolition and turned into offices internally. It is now a Grade II listed building of historical interest.
